In partnership with the New York Credit Union Association, the MCU Foundation Scholarship supports NYC students by helping ease the financial challenges of higher education.

The application deadline has now passed.
The submission period closed on Friday, January 23, 2026, and applications are no longer being accepted.

Scholarship Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for the MCU Foundation Scholarship, the student must be:

  • A college-bound high school senior at the time of submitting the application
  • Attending college for the first time in the Fall of 2026
  • Enrolled in either a two- or four-year accredited educational institution
  • In agreeance to use all scholarship funds for tuition by January 31, 2027 at an accredited educational institution only appears on the account

1. The applicant and their parent or guardian must complete the Certification and Release Authorization on the last page of the application.

2. Please save the following as three separate files (PDFs or Word Documents):

  • Scholarship Application
  • High School Transcript
  • Essay

The completed application, transcripts, and essay must be submitted by the Friday, January 23rd, 2026 deadline.

If any portion is incomplete or missing, the application will not be accepted.

Winners Announced early June 2026

All winning applicants will receive an email in June with the names of the selected scholarship recipients for the 2026 College Scholarship Program. 

Contributions to The MCU Foundation are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.
