Help Fight Hunger Across NYC

MCU Foundation continues their support of New York families facing food insecurity.

September is Hunger Action Month and the MCU Foundation, the charitable arm of Municipal Credit Union, is expanding our outreach to business partners for their support in helping eliminate hunger in the five boroughs of New York City.

The MCU Foundation was formed in 2023 with the mission of helping New Yorkers eliminate poverty and build generational wealth. A steppingstone for these efforts requires that families are provided with the tools and necessary resources to take these steps.

In 2026, the MCU Foundation committed $225,000, helping provide 523,241 meals to New Yorkers and New York families.

But more and more New Yorkers are finding it increasingly difficult to properly feed their children and families. Rising food costs and economic pressures make this month’s call to action especially urgent.
